Hollywood Icon Dennis Hopper’s Ghost Haunted Ex-Wife Katherine LaNasa, She Says
Katherine LaNasa is opening up about a haunting experience she says involved her late ex-husband, Hollywood legend Dennis Hopper.
The actress, known recently for her role in The Pitt, said in a new interview that she believes she was visited multiple times by Hopper’s ghost after his death in 2010. LaNasa was married to Hopper from 1989 to 1992, and the former couple shared a son, Henry Hopper.

LaNasa said the encounters were not peaceful at first. According to her, Hopper appeared to her in frightening ways, including one vision where he looked like he did during an Academy Awards appearance. She described the experience as deeply upsetting and emotionally intense.
The actress said the visits continued for some time until she finally told Hopper’s spirit that he needed to leave her alone. After that, she said the haunting stopped, but the silence also left her feeling strange.

Later, LaNasa said she unexpectedly came across a gallery showing Hopper’s photography, including an image that felt like a message of closure. She also recalled a final dream in which Hopper appeared peaceful and told her he was okay and no longer in pain.
LaNasa suggested that Hopper may have come to her because of the deep emotional connection they once shared, even though they had been divorced for many years. At the time of his death, Hopper was reportedly going through a divorce from his fifth wife, Victoria Duffy.

Dennis Hopper was one of Hollywood’s most iconic actors and filmmakers, best known for Easy Rider, Blue Velvet, Apocalypse Now and Speed. He died in 2010 at age 74 after battling prostate cancer.
LaNasa has since remarried actor Grant Show, and the couple shares a daughter. Still, her story about Hopper has drawn attention because it mixes Hollywood history, personal grief and a mysterious ghostly experience.
